The policy team focuses on national initiatives and issues that pursue solutions to the systematic causes of homelessness. Recognizing that health disparities associated with homelessness are part of a much larger pattern of injustice in the United States, we advocate for public policies that achieve social and economic justice. The following federal policy issues are not all inclusive of the Council’s policy work, but instead represent ongoing activity, oftentimes in partnerships with other organizations and/or coalitions.
