New Issue of Healing Hands Explores Treatment Models for Non-Opioid Substance Use

A companion to our Spring 2019 issue on the relationship between non-opioid substance use disorder, mental health, and homelessness, our new issue of Healing Hands explores treatment models for this disease. Less than one-quarter of the individuals in the U.S. who are in need of substance use disorder treatment actually receive it, and people experiencing homelessness face more barriers to accessing treatment than housed individuals.

This edition also provides tools to help care providers administer comprehensive, trauma-informed health care and harm reduction interventions for people experiencing homelessness with substance use disorder.
