New Issue of Healing Hands Addresses Non-Opioid Substance Use

Our new issue of Healing Hands highlights the relationship between non-opioid substance use disorder, mental health, and homelessness. Approximately half of people experiencing homelessness have diagnosable substance use disorders at some point in their lives and experience stigma, serious mental illness, and poor health outcomes as a result.

This CME-accredited edition will explore the current opioid crisis, other commonly-used substances, critical issues that intersect with substance use and mental health in homeless populations, and strategies that providers can use to reduce the impact of stigma on patient treatment.
